How to play Toepen: rules and scoring

Goal: Dodge penalty points and be the last one left in.

Setup

• A 32-card deck.
• 4 cards each.

How to play

1. The last trick wins the round.
2. “Toep” raises the stake by one.
3. Whoever folds takes the stake of that moment.

Scoring

• The losers take the stake as penalty points.
• Whoever folds takes the stake of that moment.

Winning

• Reaching the limit puts you out; the last one in wins.
